About the Recipe

Delight in the savory taste of Chow Mein, a classic Chinese stir-fry dish featuring tender noodles, crisp vegetables, and your choice of protein. Tossed in a flavorful sauce, this dish is quick, satisfying, and perfect for any mealtime. Enjoy the perfect balance of textures and flavors in every bite!

Ingredients

  • 200g Chow Mein noodles

  • 2 tbsp Co'Day Superior Black Sesame Oil

  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 onion, sliced

  • 1 bell pepper, sliced

  • 2 carrots, julienned

  • 1 cup shredded cabbage

  • 1 cup bean sprouts

  • 200g chicken breast, thinly sliced (optional)

  • 2 tbsp soy sauce

  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce

  • 1 tsp sugar

  • 1/4 cup chicken broth (or water)

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • Green onions and sesame seeds for garnish

Preparation

Step 1


Cook the Chow Mein noodles according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.



Step 2


In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, and chicken broth. Set aside.


Step 3


Heat vegetable oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat. Add the chicken slices and stir-fry until fully cooked. Remove and set aside.



Step 4


In the same pan, add Co'Day Superior Black Sesame Oil. Add garlic and onion, stir-frying until fragrant. Add bell pepper, carrots, and cabbage, cooking until tender-crisp.



Step 5


Add the cooked noodles and bean sprouts to the pan. Pour in the sauce mixture and stir to combine. Return the cooked chicken to the pan (if using) and mix everything well.



Step 6


Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper to taste.



Step 6


Serve hot, garnished with green onions and sesame seeds.
